Condolences for Bert Dykstra, former Central Huron Councillor, Reeve, and Huron County Warden

The Staff and Council of the Municipality of Central Huron were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former Reeve Bert Dykstra, who served over twenty years in municipal government.
Bert was a Councillor in the 1990s for the former Goderich Township before being sworn-in as the newly amalgamated Central Huron's Deputy Reeve in 2000. From 2003 to 2010, he served as Reeve for the Municipality of Central Huron and also served as Warden for the County of Huron in 2010.

Central Huron has won three Awards of Excellence at the 2023 Economic Developers Council of Ontario's Annual Conference earlier this month.
Community Improvement Coordinator Angela Smith came home with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Influencer of the Year for her work on accessibility and work with seniors and students.
