Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety

General watershed conditions are being assessed for high runoff potential that could lead to flooding, and to remind the public of general river safety issues.

The Watershed Conditions Statement – Water Safety issued on Dec. 30, 2022, is being extended for all municipalities in the Maitland and Nine Mile River watersheds.

The Municipality of Central Huron is currently receiving applications for one (1) citizen appointment to the Destination Central Huron Team (committee). This person will join a previously established Team which includes three members of Central Huron Council.

The Municipality of Central Huron’s services will be closed on Monday, September 19th , 2022 as part of the National Day of Mourning in Canada, to mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada. All Municipal services will reopen on Tuesday September 20th, 2022 at 8:30 AM. Please note that Crossing Guards will be available at their regular locations on Monday September 19th, 2022.
