The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority has issued a Flood Watch for all municipalities in the Maitland and Nine Mile River watersheds. A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible but not imminent or certain.

This will serve as official notice that the Budget Council meeting scheduled for March 18, 2025 has been cancelled.
The final adoption of the budget will occur at the March 17, 2025 Regular Council meeting. The agenda will be accessible via the iCompass portal.

Flood Watch – Ice Jamming
Due to observations of ice jams, Maitland Conservation is issuing a Flood Watch for all municipalities in the Maitland and Nine Mile River watersheds.
While most smaller streams throughout the watershed are ice-free, signs of ice jams have been observed in larger river reaches.
