Election Day
The Municipality of Central Huron utilizes the alternative voting method of Internet and Telephone Voting. As the Voting Period gets closer, eligible voters will receive a Voter Information Letter in the mail via Canada Post which will include the following:
- Instructions on how to vote using the internet or telephone
- A unique PIN allowing each voter to vote once
- Dates and hours of voting
- Contact information for assistance with voting or other inquiries.
The online and telephone voting portals will be open from 9:00 AM on October 13, 2026 to 8:00 PM on October 26, 2026.
Eligible voters for municipal elections must be:
- A Canadian citizen who is at least 18 years old
- A resident, or a property owner, or a tenant, or the spouse of an owner or tenant in the municipality
Voters List and Voter Information
Elections Ontario maintains the Permanent Register of Electors for Ontario, commonly known as the Register or Voters List. This list includes individuals who are eligible to vote in provincial and municipal elections across Ontario.
Please contact the municipal office or use the EL15 Form and bring it to the municipal office with acceptable identification to update, add, or remove your information if you:
- Have changed your name or address
- Own or rent a new property
- No longer own or rent a property
- Want to remove your information from the Voters List
