Heat Warning in Effect

Huron Perth Public Health and Environment Canada have issued heat warnings this week and possibly into the weekend. If you need a break from the heat, you can visit the following public locations across the municipality to cool down: 

• Clinton Splash Pad located at 95 Park Lane is open 8am-8pm daily. 
• Clinton Library or other Huron County Library branches. Visit the Huron County Library website for hours of operation
• Central Huron Community Complex located at 239 Bill Fleming Drive, Clinton; the lower arena lobby is available as a cooling centre and accessible during YMCA hours (Monday-Friday 7am-9pm)
• Local parks and shaded areas 

Remember to drink plenty of cool liquids, especially water, before you feel thirsty and check in on neighbours, friends, and family to make sure they are cool and hydrated. More information on how to prevent heat-related illness is available through Huron Perth Public Health.
