Smoking Consideration at CHCC
Posted by LBean on October 26, 2018
With the recent legalization of marijuana, Council is more concerned than ever about the smoking that is occurring at the entrance of the Eastlink Arena in Clinton - after all the Arena and Community Complex serve adults and youth alike. Although Council is currently considering a Municipal No Smoking By-law – we recognize that a By-law in itself is not an answer and that’s why we are asking for all attendees who utilize the Central Huron Community Complex and Eastlink Arena to be aware, respectful, and considerate of others when smoking, and we ask that if you smoke – please do so well away (i.e. 9 metres) from the entrances to the facility. We also ask that any butts and/or garbage be placed in an appropriate receptacle so as to keep the facility clean and attractive.
Council, Municipal Staff and residents are proud of our Central Huron Community Complex and the Eastlink Arena and we appreciate your support here.
